The NSC Steering Group (SG) consists of current ongoing EU and nationally funded projects’ coordinators, or their assigned representatives, the Working Group Chairs, the Coordination Team and representatives from the Program Committee and partnered industrial organisations.
The SG, normally, gets together bimonthly to discuss and act on matters of interest for the NanoSafety Community, enhance synergies and collaborations on both a European and International scale and provide strategic directions on research and innovation and policy and regulation for Member States.
The main tasks of the SG are:
- Identify and propose strategic targets for the promotion of the NanoSafety Community
- To be a focal point for questions received by relevant stakeholders
- Initiate Task Forces and review the progress and output
- Oversee activities of all working groups
- Lead the International Cooperation activities of the NSC
- Plan and organise all NSC public activities
