Statement from Egon Willghaben, outgoing chair of the WG “Research Output management, FAIRness & sharing”:
Hi everyone,
In the past years it has been a pleasure to collaborate with everyone in the EU NSC “Research Output management, FAIRness & sharing” working group (and WGF and WG4 before that). We achieved a lot on making data findable, data interoperability, vocabularies and other standards, and just exchange of ideas on how to make the NSC research output easier to reuse. Some of this, of course, even together with the US-EU Communities of Research. Because I currently no longer have a project funding in the context of the EU NSC, I want to focus my attention on the ELIXIR Europe Toxicology Community and as member of that community I will remain taking part in this NSC working group. Chairing the working group, however, is something that needs someone who is actively involved in an ongoing project with funding to attend the important nanosafety meetings. People who are interested in chairing this important working group, please contact the NSC coordination team. Feel free to email me, if you have questions about my experiences.
Egon Willighagen
On behalf of the entire NSC community, we would like to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to Egon for his many years of leadership of the working group! You have done a great job!
