SbD4Nano set out to develop a novel software infrastructure, an “e-infrastructure”, to foster dialogue and collaboration between actors along the nanotechnology supply chain. Our project is currently making considerable progress in the case studies necessary to validate this e-infrastructure, and working towards enabling the reduction of hazard and exposure while satisfying functionality for intended uses in the market.
SbD4Nano is one of the projects contributing to the Nanosafety Training School 2023!
In line with Europe’s ambition towards Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD), this year’s school focused on the SSbD approaches for chemicals, advanced materials & plastics.
Jointly organised by the Horizon2020 projects SUNSHINE, DIAGONAL, HARMLESS, ASINA, SABYDOMA, SAbyNA, SbD4Nano, and the US-led INFRAMES initiative, this edition of the school brought in international perspectives on a number of topics.
With a global presence of more than 130 scientists from academia, research institutions, industry, governmental institutions, and NGOs, including around 30 online participants spanning Europe, USA and Korea, this year’s school hits the greatest attendance rate in our history.
SbD4Nano is actively contributing to NSC Early Career Researchers (ECRs) group
The NSC ECRs group is composed of researchers that are involved in nanosafety projects: researchers, students, PhD students, postdocs, technicians, staff members and stakeholders. We currently count 80 members from all over Europe. The aim of the group is to promote collaborations, improve and share knowledge, gain visibility and… have fun doing science! SbD4Nano is actively contributing to the group having Hulya Yilmaz in the group’s coordination board. For more information and to subscribe, visit: https://www.sbd4nano.eu/early-career-researchers
SbD4Nano at NanoSAFE 2023 and EuroNanoForum 2023
Sbd4Nano was proud to be present at the key nanosafety events this spring featuring the NanoSAFE 2023 and NSC Joint Conference held in Grenoble (France) on 5-9 June, and the EuroNanoForum held in Sweden on 11-13 June 2023.
In parallel to the NanoSAFE conference, SbD4Nano held its annual general assembly and review meeting where the latest progress of the project was showcased. The main objective for the next period of time will be validating the SbD4Nano e-infrastructure and testing it with external stakeholders.
