US-EU nanoEHS

The US-EU nanoEHS dialogue (http://us-eu.org):

The European Commission and the US-NNCO are working close together to:

  • Engage researchers, regulators, and granting entities in an active discussion on EHS research needs
  • Identify research that would benefit from joint efforts

To this aim, annual workshops are being organized and Communities of Research are being established.

Workshops: The US-EU dialogue, bridging nanoEHS research

  • Washington, 10-11 March 2011 – Agenda – Proceedings (soon available)
  • Helsinki, 25-26 October 2012 – Agenda

The Communities of Research

Communities of Research are formed by groups of people, sharing a significant interest in the field of nanosafety and interacting regularly to advance that interest. They develop a shared repertoire of resources: experiences, tools, ways of addressing recurring questions and challenges but do not necessarily work together on a daily basis. Members are in regular contact through the use of wikis, webcasts, conference calls, and/or through the annual US-EU meeting.
