Research Project Findings

Participating research institutes are expected to share research study results available other cluster members benefit, providing that no confidentiality issues arise. Reporting to the cluster will include overviews of:

  • NanoParticles investigated in the projects and their physicochemical properties (chemistry, crystal structure, size, shape, coating, surface charge etc.)
  • results on bioavailability of NanoParticles
  • results on biodistribution, accumulation, degradation, uptake, & excretion of NanoParticles in living organisms and the environment
  • results on toxicity testing and screening
  • models developed
  • methods and techniques used to obtain project data together with their main limitations
